A recent study conducted at the University of Zurich has published findings on myxomas, a type of tumor. The study focused on a 7-year-old female central bearded dragon with a neoplastic lesion in the hip joint. The research discovered that the swelling consisted of myxomatous proliferations and cysts that invaded the femoral bone, and also found other bone lesions consistent with metabolic bone and degenerative joint diseases. This is the first known description of synovial myxomas in reptiles. For more information, the full article can be accessed for free. [Extracted from the article] |
