A recent study conducted by Taizhou University in China explored the relationship between psychological capital and self-directed learning ability among undergraduate nursing students. The study found that psychological capital, which refers to positive psychological resources, was positively correlated with self-directed learning ability. Factors such as optimism and resilience were identified as crucial predictors of self-directed learning ability. The researchers suggest that nursing educators can use strategies rooted in positive psychology and perseverance to enhance the self-directed learning ability of nursing students.
