Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital in Jakarta, Indonesia, aimed to investigate the relationship between personality types and cancer-related pain in central nervous system (CNS) tumor patients. The study found that pain is the most common complaint experienced by CNS tumor patients, and personality characteristics may play a role in how individuals perceive and cope with pain. The prevalence of narcissistic personality traits was high among the patients, but there was no significant relationship between personality types and pain intensity. The researchers suggest that psychotherapy could be beneficial in helping patients manage their pain in a more adaptive way. [Extracted from the article]
