Abstrakt: This article discusses the impact of itch, pain, fatigue, and disease severity in pediatric patients with psoriasis, as well as the influence of methotrexate and biologics on these symptoms. The study used visual analogue scores (VAS) to assess these complaints and found that itch and disease severity were more burdensome for pediatric patients than pain and fatigue. Both methotrexate and biologics were effective in reducing itch, pain, and self-assessed severity, but fatigue did not improve significantly. The study also compared the effectiveness of methotrexate and biologics in achieving low Psoriasis Area and Severity Index (PASI) scores, with biologics showing slightly better results. Overall, the study highlights the impact of psoriasis on pediatric patients and the effectiveness of these treatments in reducing symptoms. [Extracted from the article]
