Former legislators and administration officials recently completed a trip to the Middle East to assess the prospects for security and peace in the region. During their trip, they visited Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Israel, and the Palestinian Authority. The delegation found that there are differing viewpoints on how to address the current crisis, with those outside of Israel calling for a ceasefire and peace diplomacy, while those inside Israel prioritize dismantling Hamas in Gaza.
