A recent study conducted by Stanford University Medical Center examined the rates of evaluation and treatment for chronic hepatitis B virus (CHB) patients from the REAL-B consortium. The study analyzed data from 12,566 adult treatment-naïve patients with CHB from 25 centers in 9 countries. The findings revealed that overall evaluation and treatment rates were suboptimal for CHB patients, with significant sex and ethnic disparities. The researchers concluded that improved linkage to care with linguistically competent and culturally sensitive approaches is needed. [Extracted from the article] |
