Abstrakt: A new study on nanobiotechnology from Siberian State Medical University in Tomsk, Russia, explores the use of silver-containing bionanomaterials to inhibit the formation of biofilms, which contribute to antimicrobial resistance. The researchers synthesized active pharmaceutical substances using ultradispersed silver nanoparticles and coal humic substances, and found that these bionanomaterials had antibacterial activity against opportunistic pathogens and suppressed both pre-existing biofilms and their formation. This research is important in the development of new antibacterial agents to combat antimicrobial resistance. The study was published in the journal Nanomaterials. [Extracted from the article]
