A recent study conducted by researchers at Tongji University in Shanghai, China explored the relationship between the hemoglobin, albumin, lymphocyte, and platelet (HALP) score and long-term mortality in cancer patients. The study analyzed data from 3,832 cancer patients and found that higher HALP scores were associated with a lower risk of long-term mortality. The researchers also observed a non-linear association between HALP score and mortality. These findings provide new insights for clinical and nutritional interventions for cancer patients.
