A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of the Sunshine Coast examined the relationship between stigma and help-seeking behavior among individuals with eating disorders. The study found that while stigma does play a role in help-seeking, it may not be the primary reason why individuals with eating disorders do not seek care. The findings suggest that further investigation into other factors is needed to effectively promote help-seeking for eating disorders. The study was published in the Journal of Eating Disorders and more information can be found in the article. [Extracted from the article] |
