Abstrakt: A recent study conducted at Hodeida University in Yemen examined the impact of a psychoeducational and relaxation program on reducing stress levels among critical care nurses (CCNs) caring for patients with delirium in intensive care units (ICUs). The study involved 60 CCNs from two ICUs at Al-Thawra Hospital in Taiz. Before the program, CCNs reported a moderate level of stress, but this significantly decreased immediately after the program and remained at a mild level three months later. The program also reduced stress related to the nursing environment, relationships with peers, knowledge about delirium, and nursing practice and work. The researchers recommend regular assessment of CCNs for delirium-related stress and providing education to reduce stress when caring for delirious patients. [Extracted from the article]
