Abstrakt: | A recent study conducted by researchers at Hainan Medical University in China explored the association between certain genetic variations and the susceptibility to systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) in Northeast China. The study analyzed the distribution of specific genetic loci in 1712 blood samples and used various statistical analyses to determine the correlation between these loci and the risk of SLE. The findings suggest that certain genotypes and alleles at the rs3918188 and rs1799983 loci of the endothelial nitric oxide synthase (eNOS) gene may increase or decrease the risk of SLE. This research provides valuable insights into the genetic basis of SLE and may contribute to the development of early diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis of the disease.
