In this article is presented a case study from the graphic forensic expertise practice, in which the main problem consists in diagnosing the conditions of execution of manuscript texts and signatures in four cash loan receipts. The case seemed worthy of attention and useful to be known by those interested in such objects of expertise, being quite difficult the demonstration part, exclusively with graphoscopic instruments. Although graphology, in this case graphopathology, offers a variety of solutions in this regard, in this situation it could not be used, having no legal coverage in the Romanian space. As a matter of principle, there should be no deficiencies in the forensic research of graphic objects executed in conditions of old age and illness, taking into account the existence of methodical instructions, developed in the early 80s of the last century, which to this day still prove to be current and lucrative, as they offer the successful possibility to discover the fact of execution of writing and signatures by this category of persons (old people, sick). At the same time, these instructions require improvement, experimental research, monitoring of modern trends of physiological and psychological development of man. We hope that our work will put a favorable beginning in the accumulation of expert experience in the segment of forensic investigation of writing and signatures executed in conditions of illness, old age, with a remedial contribution to this chapter of graphic forensic expertise methodics.
