Abstrakt: The article provides a review of a book that examines the use of Welsh in the workplace. It discusses various aspects of language planning and policy, including Welsh medium provision in higher education and adult second language acquisition. The review highlights important policy recommendations made in the book, such as the need for improved language training and interpreting services in the courts. It also discusses the implementation of Welsh Language Standards in increasing the use of Welsh in the workplace and the lack of compliance in some organizations. The article concludes by emphasizing the significance of the book's contributions to translation studies and language planning in Wales. Additionally, the article explores the use of Welsh in the health sector, the role of organizations in language planning at the community level, and the use of Welsh by Members of the Senedd. However, it criticizes the lack of representation from South Wales and other important organizations, and suggests that the perspectives of non-Welsh speakers in the workplace are largely unheard. The article emphasizes the importance of policy makers being responsive and flexible to ensure the continued success of language revitalization efforts. [Extracted from the article]
