Using a newly introduced methodology for evaluating the net utilization of energy and protein along the eco-technical chain "forage-consumable boneless meat", the “Clarc of energy distribution” and “Clarc of protein transformation” in male lambs of the Sakar sheep breed under traditional farming technology up to weaning at 60 days of age were established. The corresponding "Clarcs" are the percentage ratio of the gross energy/crude protein accumulated in the meat and the net energy/intestinally digestible protein consumed by all feeds during the period. The following values were established: Clarc of energy distribution -0.5248 (52.48%)±0.039 (3.9%); Clarc of protein transformation - 0.7948 (79.48%)±0.05 (5%). Key words: Clarc on energy distribution, Clarc on protein transformation, Sakar lambs, traditional fattening. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
