According to the text of Article 21, Paragraph 2 of the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria (www.lex.bg), arable land is used only for agricultural purposes. A change of its purpose is allowed exceptionally in case of proven need and under conditions and according to the procedure determined by law. This law is the Agricultural Land Protection Act. Changing the purpose of agricultural land for non-agricultural needs in chapter five of this law is associated with criteria and procedures, such as: the productive qualities of the land, the goals of the change, the irrigability of the land, the size and location of the requested area, the category of the land, etc. n. However, the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural uses is associated with expected effects. These effects in some cases not only do not bring positive results, but also lead to negative ones - this is the issue touched upon and analyzed in the report. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
