A new report from Isfahan University of Medical Sciences in Iran presents findings from a multicentric cross-sectional study on anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries. The study analyzed the medical records of 712 patients with ACL rupture and collected data on demographics, injury mechanisms, associated injuries, graft type, and sports involvement. The majority of patients were male, aged 15-30 years, and overweight. The study identified a high prevalence of concomitant injuries with ACL injury, particularly in sports-related cases, and highlighted the need for age-appropriate preventive measures and tailored clinical management approaches.
