A patent application titled "DNA Antibody Constructs for Use Against Plasmodium Parasites" has been published online. The inventors have developed a nucleic acid molecule that encodes polypeptides of an anti-Plasmodium circumsporozoite protein (CSP) antibody. These polypeptides have a high degree of similarity to specific amino acid and nucleotide sequences. The invention also includes a composition that contains nucleic acid molecules encoding both heavy and light chain polypeptides of the anti-Plasmodium CSP antibody. This invention aims to provide improved therapeutics for the prevention and treatment of Plasmodium parasite infection, which causes malaria. [Extracted from the article] |
