A report from the University of Trieste in Italy discusses the evaluation of the World Health Organization (WHO) standards for improving the quality of care for children with acute respiratory infections (ARI). The study collected data from 11 emergency departments in Italy and found significant differences in the quality of care across facilities. The use of 10 WHO standard-based measures can help assess the quality of care for children with ARI. The research concludes that there is a need for more investment in implementation research to ensure that all children receive high-quality care. [Extracted from the article] |
