Abstrakt: Researchers at Warsaw University of Technology have developed a procedure to create three-dimensional (3D) models of blood vessels for training in complex angioplasty procedures. The printed models exhibit mechanical properties similar to human arteries and can be used to simulate treatment procedures and analyze the behavior of stents. The methodology allows for the efficient production of personalized vessel phantoms, providing a valuable tool for personalized healthcare and training in cardiovascular procedures. The research was supported by Warsaw University of Technology and the Military Institute of Medicine. [Extracted from the article]
