Abstrakt: A new report from the University of East Anglia in the United Kingdom discusses the incidence of atrial fibrillation (AF) in patients with and without embolic stroke of undetermined source. The study found that the use of implantable loop recorders increased the detection of AF episodes among patients with embolic stroke of undetermined source. The incidence of AF was significantly higher in patients with embolic stroke of undetermined source compared to those without. Further research is needed to determine the optimal treatment strategy for AF episodes in embolic stroke of undetermined source patients. [Extracted from the article]
