A recent study conducted at Catholic University in Cordoba, Argentina, has found that patients with rhinitis, a condition characterized by inflammation of the nose, may also have abnormalities in their lower airways, such as reduced lung function and inflammation of the bronchial mucosa. These abnormalities, which do not always have clinical symptoms, could potentially increase the risk of developing asthma. The study highlights the need for further research on the relationship between rhinitis and lower airway conditions. [Extracted from the article] |
