Back in 2001 I told Tony DiGiore that I would interview retired music educators (rather than the assignment he'd given me), to pull out some of their knowledge, expertise, and tricks-of-the-trade that they had acquired over the years. I set up these casual conversations with these music education gurus, and many became friends. Now, it has happened again. I set up a casual conversation (and ice cream rendezvous in Lancaster) with a college friend who became an expert and, then, retired. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR] |
