Abstrakt: A glass series synthesized with composition (Na2O)x.(ZnO)10.(BaO)10.(B2O3)80-x as x=0-20mol% for the AC conductivity analysis concerning temperature and frequency. The incorporation of Na2O, results in enhancing AC conductivity up to two orders in both low frequency and high frequency. The Cole-Cole impedance plots exhibited semi-circles with a decrease in the radius, which reveals the decreasing bulk resistance values of the glass samples at higher temperatures. The results of AC conductivity and Cole-Cole plots were matched with the nearest AC conduction values. The FT-IR spectrum confirmed the role and structural variations of network modifiers due to the addition of Na2O. The optical spectroscopy resulted in an increase in cut-off, a decrease in band gaps, an increase in refractive index, and Urbach energy. The density increased & molar volume decreased with Na2O content. The higher order conductivity (10-3 ohm-1 cm-1) confirms the suitability of the glasses for battery and solid-state electrolytes.
