This article discusses the use of Saforide 38% silver diamine fluoride (SDF) in dental practice. The author shares their personal experience of using SDF to treat active decay in patients, which resulted in the arrest of lesions and the formation of tertiary dentin. The author also discusses the potential side effects of SDF treatment, such as color and texture changes in the affected area. Additionally, the article explores the impact of SDF treatment on the number of after-hours emergency calls and the ability to see more patients.
