Abstrakt: This article, titled "EP24.14: External validation study of preoperative ultrasound-based AAGL staging system in prediction of AAGL surgical stage," aims to validate the accuracy of the AAGL- US staging system in predicting the AAGL surgical stage for patients with possible endometriosis. The study, conducted from August 2018 to November 2019, included 236 patients who underwent deep endometriosis ultrasound prior to surgery. The results showed moderate agreement between the AAGL-US and AAGL-SS, with a weighted kappa score of 0.5, and fair agreement between the AAGL-US and surgical complexity, with a weighted kappa score of 0.38. The study also found good reliability in assessing the ovaries, bladder, and rectum, but moderate reliability in assessing pouch of douglas obliteration. The diagnostic accuracy of AAGL-US in predicting the presence of any endometriosis was found to have a sensitivity of 0.56, specificity of 0.60, positive predictive value of 0.97, and negative predictive value of 0.23. Overall, the study provides valuable insights into the accuracy and reliability of the AAGL-US staging system for endometriosis. [Extracted from the article]
