Abstrakt: This article discusses a study conducted in Romania that aimed to analyze the clinical value of ultrasound features of breast lesions and axillary lymph nodes in predicting the risk of nodal metastases in patients with breast cancer. The study included 85 patients who underwent breast cancer surgery, and their ultrasound features and pathological results were collected. The results showed that there was a correlation between ultrasound and histological tumor size, and certain ultrasound features, such as the tumor vascular score and the distance between the tumor and the skin, were predictive of lymph node metastases. The authors conclude that ultrasound features can be useful in predicting nodal metastases and informing patients about the type of surgical intervention proposed. [Extracted from the article]
