Abstrakt: This article, published in the journal Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology, explores the correlation between ultrasound parameters and the time of Foley catheter expulsion during labor induction. The study, conducted in Riga Maternity Hospital from January 2021 to February 2024, included 146 nulliparous women with singleton pregnancies. The researchers found that cervical length before the start of labor induction had a correlation with Foley catheter expulsion time, but other ultrasound parameters did not show a significant influence. The authors suggest that the time period from labor induction to catheter expulsion may be insufficient for evaluation. [Extracted from the article]
