Abstrakt: This article, titled "EP17.13: CVRI as a quick method to estimate peripheral vascular resistance at 13–16 weeks of gestation in patients at high risk of pre-eclampsia," explores the correlation between non-invasive peripheral vascular resistance (PVR) and cardiovascular resistance index (CVRI) in pregnancies at high risk for preterm pre-eclampsia during 13-16 weeks. The study recruited 20 high-risk subjects and found that CVRI was a reliable predictor of PVR in this population during the specified gestational period. The authors suggest that these findings could lead to a convenient and cost-effective method for assessing hemodynamics and managing hypertension during pregnancy. [Extracted from the article]
