This article discusses the use of ultrasound diagnosis and surgical delivery in cases of placenta accreta syndrome (PAS). The authors share their experience with five cases of PAS, all of which involved low-lying or previa placenta in the scar zone. Ultrasound signs of PAS were detected between 26-36 weeks of pregnancy, and surgical interventions were performed to avoid hysterectomy. The authors conclude that ultrasound assessment of PAS signs can effectively detect and differentiate different grades of placenta accreta, allowing for reconstructive surgery instead of hysterectomy.
