Abstrakt: This article discusses the prevalence and characteristics of food cravings during pregnancy. The study, conducted using data from the IMPACT BCN trial, found that 53.4% of the 659 participants experienced cravings during pregnancy. The most frequently craved items were fruit and chocolate. The study also found that craving women were younger and more commonly Latin-American, and they had significantly higher weight gain during pregnancy. Further research is needed to understand the physiology and potential impact of food cravings on perinatal outcomes. [Extracted from the article]
