This article, published in the journal Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology, explores the possible correlation between crown-rump length (CRL) in the first trimester of pregnancy and birthweight in full-term pregnancies with normal growth. The study included 306 full-term pregnancies with normal growth, and the statistical analysis found that there was no significant correlation between CRL values and birthweight. The authors conclude that growth patterns in early pregnancy may not be indicative of growth patterns in late pregnancy for normal full-term pregnancies. [Extracted from the article] |
