Abstrakt: This article, published in the journal Ultrasound in Obstetrics & Gynecology, discusses the use of three-dimensional (3D) imaging segmentation for visualizing fetal facial malformations. The study used MRI images of five fetuses with facial malformations to create 3D reconstructed images. The results showed that MRI images can be successfully reconstructed, allowing for a detailed visualization of the esthetical appearance and anatomical extension of the malformations. The authors suggest that these 3D images can be used for parental counseling and postnatal surgical planning. [Extracted from the article]
