Abstrakt: This article, titled "Understanding dysmenorrhea in women with polycystic ovary morphology: a retrospective study," investigates the prevalence of dysmenorrhea in individuals with polycystic ovary morphology (PCOM) and aims to identify potential risk factors for dysmenorrhea. The study analyzed data from patients who underwent transvaginal scans at an ultrasound clinic specializing in gynecologic diseases. The results showed that PCOM was found in 18% of patients, with 39% experiencing mild dysmenorrhea and 61% experiencing severe dysmenorrhea. Factors such as heavy flow, dyspareunia, previous pregnancy, infertility, and adenomyosis were associated with the severity of dysmenorrhea. The study emphasizes the need for further research to understand the underlying causes of pain in individuals with PCOM and to develop tailored treatment plans. [Extracted from the article]
