Abstrakt: This article, titled "OC09.05: Adverse obstetric outcomes in pregnancies with major fetal congenital heart defects: a cohort study," examines the risk of placenta-related adverse obstetric outcomes in pregnancies with major fetal congenital heart defects (mCHDs). The study, conducted in Denmark from 2008 to 2018, included 534,170 pregnancies, with 745 of them having mCHDs. The results showed that pregnancies with mCHDs had a higher frequency of adverse obstetric outcomes, such as pre-eclampsia, preterm birth, and fetal growth restriction, compared to the unselected background population. However, pregnancies with fetal transposition of the great arteries (TGA) did not have an increased risk of adverse pregnancy outcomes. [Extracted from the article]
