The Leasehold and Freehold Reform Act (LFRA) is facing a legal challenge from Annington Properties, managed by Guy Hands' private equity firm Terra Firma. The new law aims to overhaul the valuation methodology and legal process for leaseholders wishing to extend their leases or buy their freeholds. Annington is concerned that its properties serving the Ministry of Defence (MoD) could be affected by the act.
