Stands productivity is influenced by site conditions and stands structure created by applied management measures. This study focuses on managed mixed beech-coniferous stands in the Gurghiu Mountains of Romania, located in high-productivity sites. The stands were inventoried in sample areas ranging from 0.25 to 1.0 hectares (7976 inventoried trees). Dendrometric characteristics of stands were analyzed, which can be established as management targets at the stand level: diameter at breast height (diameter of the mean basal area tree––dg) and under the crown (at the pruned height), composition-target, and vertical structure. The stands achieve multiaged structures, as a result of the temperament of species participating in mixtures and applied management measures. Regression equations were developed to represent the frequency of trees by diameter classes for spruce, fir, and beech in different structures with a root mean square error (RMSE %) ranging from 0.67 to 4.1%.
