A cross-sectional study was conducted using the National Institutes of Health All of Us Research Program (AoURP) database to examine the association between cutaneous lichen planus (LP) and asthma and allergic rhinitis (AR). The study included 240,428 US adults, of which 1,061 had a diagnosis of LP. The results showed a significant positive association between LP and both AR and asthma. The study suggests a possible shared immunopathogenesis between LP and atopic diseases, highlighting the need for comprehensive care and early intervention in patients with LP and concomitant atopic diseases.
