Researchers from Guangdong Ocean University in Zhanjiang, China have conducted a study on the effects of Siraitia grosvenorii extract (SGE) on reducing inflammation in mice. The study found that SGE improved the morphology of the intestines, restored the mucosal barrier, and reduced inflammation by increasing the presence of M2 macrophages. The researchers concluded that SGE can alleviate intestinal inflammation and block the immunosuppressive response by promoting M2 macrophage polarization. This research provides valuable insights into the potential use of SGE as a pharmaceutical treatment for inflammation-related conditions. [Extracted from the article] |
