Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at the Universidad Michoacana de San Nicolas de Hidalgo in Morelia, Mexico, explored the effects of prenatal biotin supplementation on cardiometabolic risk in adult female rats. The study found that prenatal biotin supplementation protected against adverse effects caused by fructose intake, including hypertriglyceridemia, hypercholesterolemia, hepatic steatosis, glucose and insulin resistance, hypertension, and arterial hyperresponsiveness. These findings suggest that prenatal biotin supplementation may have therapeutic benefits in preventing cardiometabolic risk in offspring. Further research is needed to explore the potential applications of biotin supplementation in humans. [Extracted from the article]
