Abstrakt: | A recent study conducted by researchers from Lausanne University Hospital in Switzerland has revealed new findings about HIV/AIDS. The study focused on follicular helper CD4hi T cells (T [ [FH] ]), which are important for maintaining the HIV reservoir. The researchers used multiplex confocal imaging and computational tools to investigate the immune dynamics in viremic and antiretroviral-treated individuals living with HIV. They found distinct profiles of FOXP3hiCD4hi T cells in treated compared to untreated HIV, suggesting that these cells could be negative regulators of T [ [FH] ] cell prevalence in treated HIV. This research provides valuable insights into HIV pathogenesis and immune responses. [Extracted from the article] |
