Abstrakt: Introduction: anemia, the commonest nutritional deficiency disorder among pregnant women in sub-Saharan Africa, is associated with severe peripartum complications. Its regular monitoring is necessary to timely inform clinical and preventive decision-making. The aim of this study was to assess the prevalence and determinants of anemia among pregnant women in rural areas of Burkina Faso. Methods: between August 2019 and March 2020, a cross-sectional study was conducted to collect maternal sociodemographic, gynaecoobstetric, and medical characteristics by face-toface interview or by review of antenatal care books.
