Abstrakt: In today's world with increasingly complex businesses activities, it is very important for organizations to consider a good occupational health and safety (OHS) management practice. However, this situation may not be applied to small-medium enterprises (SMEs). SMEs considered to have a vital role in many countries are still experiencing various challenges to implement a proper OHS management especially in managing potential risks of occupational hazards. It is necessary to develop a risk management procedure which is understandable and effective so that occupational accident cases in SMEs can be reduced. Accordingly, the purpose of this study is to develop a risk assessment method with simple computation and reliable result. The MCDM approach is employed to develop the model by integrating best-worst method (BWM) and VIseKritrijumska Optimizacija I Kompromisno Resenje (VIKOR). To test the model, a case study in an Indonesian furniture small-medium business is selected. The first, the company's experts identified the occupational risks categorized into four risk groups, namely physical risk (A), biological risk (B), chemical risk (C), and psychosocial risk (D). The second, the BWM method is applied to obtain the optimal weight of the three criteria, namely probability (P), frequency (F), and Impact (I). Since there is a conflicting context to define the criteria among the decision-makers (DMs), the VIKOR method is then selected to rank the risks. The result indicates that the critical risks are mostly physical risks and chemical risk that must be mitigated immediately. The psychosocial risks are further getting more attention to be serious risks which encourages compelling discussion for future studies. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
