Jodie Grinham, a Paralympic archer from Britain, competed in the women's individual compound event at the Paris Paralympics while being 28 weeks pregnant. Grinham incorporated "pregnancy prep sessions" into her training to test her stability and focus despite any movements the baby might make. Despite the potential distractions, Grinham performed well in the ranking rounds and believes she is the first person to compete at the Paralympics this late in pregnancy. Grinham's decision to pursue having a baby while competing in the Paralympics reflects her belief that women should be able to have both a family and a career in sports.
