Abstrakt: Karsts in South Sulawesi region store one of the oldest cave-arts (hand-printings and animal figures) in the world. Some of the arts were damaged due to changes in their surrounding environment. In the last 8 years, the government agency, BPCB (Balai Pelestarian Cagar Budaya-Cultural Conservation Preservation Center) has conducted a program for cave monitoring. This on-going program implements in-situ weather and vibration sensors to record these changes. This study aims to design an IoT (Internet of Things) to remotely gather environmental data from a cave and directly send the data in real-time to remote laboratory or office for further data analysis. The design has been tested in a laboratory setting before its implementation in a cave. This state-of-the-art data acquisition tool is expected to replace the present in-situ measurement system.
