Abstrakt: This editorial from the NORA: Nordic Journal of Women's Studies discusses the presence and significance of sex hormones in the Nordic region. It explores how sex hormones are used to regulate, optimize, and disrupt gendered bodies, and how their value and emotional impact vary across different contexts. The editorial also highlights the role of the Nordic welfare states in regulating hormonal distribution and disciplining hormonal bodies. The special issue aims to contribute to the feminist interdisciplinary dialogue on sex hormones and their impact on gender, age, race, ethnicity, health, and sexuality. The issue includes articles on topics such as hormonal and genetic testing, news stories about transgender and intersex athletes, the hormonalization of sports, and the cultural logics of testosterone in men's health. The editorial concludes by expressing gratitude to the contributing authors, reviewers, and the journal team. [Extracted from the article]
