Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers at the University of Glasgow examined the impact of drugs targeting angiogenesis and immunotherapy on kidney function in patients with renal cancer. The study found that these treatments did not have a significant effect on the average change in estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR), a measure of kidney function. However, individuals with pre-existing diabetes were found to be at a higher risk of experiencing a decline in eGFR. The researchers suggest that with appropriate monitoring, these treatments could be more widely used in patients with renal impairment. [Extracted from the article]
