Researchers at Urmia University of Medical Sciences in Orumiyeh, Iran have published a report on the therapeutic potential of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in treating infertility. While various methods have been used to restore fertility, they do not consistently lead to success. EVs, such as exosomes, microvesicles, and apoptotic bodies, play a crucial role in transferring bioactive molecules that aid in cell-to-cell communication. EV transplantation has shown promise in regenerating different parts of the reproductive system, but further evidence is needed to confirm its effectiveness in resolving reproductive problems in humans. The research focuses on the potential treatments involving EVs for infertility in both females and males. [Extracted from the article] |
