A study conducted at Mawlana Bhashani Science & Technology University in Tangail, Bangladesh, explores the creation of protective textiles that are safe for the environment. The researchers used mushroom-neem oil and neem oil to test their antioxidant properties and their ability to resist bacterial growth on cotton fabric. The study found that both treatments showed antibacterial activity, but neem oil-treated fabrics had better antioxidant properties. Increasing the curing temperature improved comfort properties, such as air and water vapor permeability. The research suggests that these bioactive material treatments can reduce chemical and environmental impact, supporting sustainability in textile production. [Extracted from the article] |
