Abstrakt: A recent study conducted by researchers from the University of Copenhagen aimed to determine the incidence and survival rates of multiply revised knee arthroplasties in Denmark. The study analyzed data from nationwide registers and identified 161,384 primary knee arthroplasties performed between 1998 and 2021, with 8.5% of these cases requiring revisions. The 10-year revision-free survival rate for primary arthroplasties was 92.3%, while the survival rates for first, second, and third revisions were 75.9%, 65.1%, and 57.8% respectively. The study found that 0.3% of primary knee arthroplasties resulted in three or more revisions, and the implant survival rates varied between different time periods. [Extracted from the article]
