This article explores the molecular characteristics and growth patterns of meningiomas in patients with NF2-related schwannomatosis (NF2-SWN). The study involved 11 patients with NF2-SWN and a total of 23 resected meningiomas. The researchers used various techniques, including whole-exome sequencing, RNA sequencing, DNA methylation analysis, and immunohistochemistry, to assess the clinical and molecular characteristics of the tumors. The findings suggest that epigenetic mechanisms, particularly methylation clustering and immune activity, may play a role in the growth patterns of meningiomas in NF2-SWN patients.
